What areas of business are strengths
Resource’s strength lies in our employees. By hiring and promoting a culture of like minded people, with the same core values, we have aligned a group of genuine and self-confident people that believe they are capable of amazing things each and every day.  We are people, people that maintain relationships based on a personal need to help and service others. Resource excels in listening to our clients challenges and delivering solutions to help them excel and expand their business.

What areas of business are you looking to improve?
While Resource has been in the recruiting and learning solutions business for the past 35 years, there is still a lot of confusion in the marketplace about who we are as a company and the services we offer. We have undergone name changes and added services throughout the years. Currently we are working with a marketing firm to establish consistent messaging that will help our audience identify us as a consultative firm that can help them find, retain and develop their workforce. Marrying our service offerings has been a challenge in the past, but we know that our clients will benefit from our solutions driven approach.

Share your biggest success story and how you got there
Our core values are woven into the fabric of our organization; from the hiring and promoting of our staff to the processes we have created for client engagement and service delivery to the manner with which all of our employees carry themselves internally and externally.  Although they have proven a great success for the organization they are not the greatest.  Our biggest success has been this organization’s steadfast and resolute commitment to our core values even in the face of true financial and social adversity: turning away a certain business because the project didn’t align with our values or letting a high producing employee go because they did not align with our ideals. We could have chosen the path of least resistance, but didn’t, because we remained committed to our ideals.

Share the biggest lesson you’ve learned so far and how you applied it to your business
The people around you are the most critical factor to your success. Staying consistent to your core values and your passion for the value you deliver to the market place will help you survive even the most difficult of circumstances.

How has your business integrated into your community and how would you like to expand that in the future?
Over the years we have helped our clients to invest in people by finding, retaining and developing their workforce. We have also spread our message of investing in people by participating with nonprofit organizations that empower people throughout our communities. Our Resource team receives paid time off to volunteer in the community with any organization they choose. One such organization is Art Road, a nonprofit that is investing in children’s futures by bringing art back into the public school system.  Many of our employees have also participated with nonprofits that offer career development and back to work training.

In the future we are looking to further our sphere of influence by aligning ourselves with other like minded companies that put people first. The partnership of people centric organizations will focus on helping grow each other’s businesses. We believe that there is power in collaboration and giving our customers and networks a chance to share ideas about the people centric philosophy.
